You may already have your resume prepared, but in Europe and other parts of the world, employers expect to receive your CV -- not your resume.While you may be fairly familiar with a resume, when you are applying for international jobs and internships you may be asked instead to submit your curriculum vitae (CV). A CV is similar to a resume in terms of providing an overview of your academic and work experience, including your accomplishments and qualifications, but it typically does so in much more detail -- and often includes a few other elements not found on a resume, such as date and place of birth, country of citizenship, visa status, gender, and marital status. Some CVs also include a picture of the job-seeker. CV conventions are different from country to country, so do a little research to know the exact style acceptable for the country in which your overseas internship will occur.
