How to Find International Work
Writing the International Job-Search Cover Letter
Most international job applications need both a CV and a cover letter.
Don't forget about the cover letter! Most job applications are accompanied by a cover letter -- often referred to as a "letter of interest" outside the U.S. And because internship is much more of an American term, you might want to be more specific in your letter about the type of work experience you seek -- including the dates you are able to work.
The type of cover letter you write will also depend on its goal. In searching for an international work experience, there are basically three types of cover letters:
- referral cover letter
- letter responding to job posting
- cold-contact letter
