Using Two-Column (T) Approach in Your Cover Letter:

 

List the job's requirements in one column and your qualifications that meet those requirements in the second column, as in this example:

While my enclosed resume provides a general outline of my work history, my problem-solving abilities and some achievements, I have also listed your current specific requirements and my applicable skills regarding your recently advertised position of mechanical engineer.
