Preparing for Job Interviews #2: Know Something About Employer
You should expect to be asked something about the employer in the interview -- such as why you want to work there or what you know about them.
Conduct a little research so that you know the basic products or services the employer sells, so that you can showcase that knowledge during the interview.
Most importantly, do not ask a question about what the employer does -- or any other obvious question.
While you will not be expected to be an expert on the employer, you can gain some tips on conducting research in our article, Step-by-Step Guide to Researching Companies: How to Conduct Job-Search Research.
