Resume Writing Quiz -- Scoring Guide:
Entry-level Job-Seeker and New College Graduate

by Katharine Hansen, Ph.D., and Randall S. Hansen, Ph.D.

Thanks again for participating in our Resume Writing Quiz for Entry-level Job-Seekers/New Graduates. Need help with your resume? Scroll down for information about our resume-writing service.

Once you've checked your answers to the quiz, you can score your results!

Scoring: Give yourself one point for every correct response.

If you scored...
  • 20 points, you are an expert on resumes and should have an excellent resume.
  • 18-19 points, you have a strong knowledge of resume writing; just remember that one mistake can be the difference between the trash can and a job interview.
  • 16-17 points, you need to spend some time brushing up on your resume writing skills, as well as polishing that resume.
  • Under 16 points, you need to set aside a fair amount of time to learn more of the key skills of resume writing; consider starting the process with one of our Resume Tutorials.
