Lining up references

If you're going to be back in the job-search, you are going to need references who can strongly make your case, especially if you are laidoff. As with your network, now is the time to chat with people who have served as references for you in the past -- as well as determine who might be strong additions to your job-search.

Remember to always ask people if they are willing to serve as a reference.
