Ramping up career networking

If you have been a little neglectful of your network of contacts, it's time to reconnect with these folks. At this point, unless you are certain you are about to be laidoff, it's best to simply make contact with your network and re-establish the connection so that if (or when) the axe falls, you will have already updated them on your situation and can then call them into action to help you track down job leads.
