Job Interviewing Tutorial for Job-Seekers
How can job-seekers make the most of the period of small talk to establish rapport?
First, remember that it is extremely important to make that connection with the interviewer. If there is no rapport during the interview, it's unlikely you will get the job.
So... try to find common interests.
Look around interviewer's office for clues.
One trick beforehand -- If you know the name of the interviewer, then you can Google him/her, try researching him/her on LinkedIn (and other social networking sites), and ask your network if anyone knows him/her.
