High School Transcripts
You'll typically need to request your high school send transcripts to colleges twice, so learn the process early your senior year.
As part of your college applications, you'll need to submit a request to your high school for partial transcripts to be sent to all the colleges so that they can make conditional admissions decisions.
Upon graduation, you'll need to make a second request asking that your final transcripts be sent to the college you plan to attend to complete the acceptance process.
Note that some colleges -- as part of their application materials and forms -- have specific request forms that list where your high school should send the transcripts.
Need help with any of the terms described on this page? If so, find the answers in our High School College-Bound and College Planning Glossary.
