Sacred Heart University was founded in 1963, and consists of four colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Health Professions, and University College. The second-largest Catholic university in New England, SHU provides men and women with a comprehensive, hands-on education rooted in the liberal arts and Catholic intellectual tradition. Ranked among U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges in the North."
