Always Ask About the Next Step
There are two final things to ask before thanking the recruiter
for his or her time and moving on to the next organization.
First, ask about the next steps in the recruitment process. What
can be expected to happen next? What is the timetable? Is there anything
you can do to aid in the decision-making (such as submitting work
samples, transcripts, etc.)?
Second, ask about the preferred method of following-up your conversation.
Some folks love email, others prefer a phone call. Ask for his or her
preference.
