Whereas, Quintessential Careers is a career development web site founded by Stetson University Marketing Professor Dr. Randall Hansen to empower people to further their careers, and

Whereas, the web site has more than 3,000 pages of free career, college and job-search content; and

Whereas the web site receives more than one million unique hits and more than four million page impressions each month; and

Whereas, Dr. Hansen is celebrating Quintessential Careers’ 10th anniversary by giving free workshops at 10 colleges around the states, now, therefore,

We, the County Council of Volusia County, Florida, do hereby proclaim November 3, 2006, as "Quintessential Careers Day" in Volusia County and urge residents to recognize the contributions this web site has made in empowering students and job-seekers to achieve career success.
