Quintessential Careers Launches Free Electronic Career and Job-Search Newsletter for Job-Seekers
DeLand, FL - Quintessential Careers, the Web-based career and job-hunting resources guide created by Dr. Randall S. Hansen, associate professor of marketing at Stetson University, DeLand, is launching a new a free career and job-hunting newsletter offering timely and topical tips for springboarding careers. The newsletter, QuintZine, will be e-mailed every other week and provide readers with informative features in each issue, including a new, exclusive career article, the QuintZine Quintessential Careers Site Award, a collection of the new career and job sites added to Quintessential Careers, links to current questions (and answers) to the "CareerDoctor," as well as other career and job resources.
An occasional feature will be a quick, five-question Q&A with well-known career experts and authors of career books.
QuintZine is for entry-level jobseekers, career transitioners, career counselors, and those involved in career Web sites.
The editor of QuintZine is Katharine Hansen, a writer and instructor at Stetson University. Hansen is author of the forthcoming (April 2000) A Foot in the Door: Networking Your Way into the Hidden Job Market, as well as Dynamic Cover Letters for New Graduates (1998) and co-author (with Randall S. Hansen) of Dynamic Cover Letters (1995), and Write Your Way to a Higher GPA (1997) all published by Ten Speed Press, Berkeley, CA. She formerly served as chief speechwriter for a high-ranking Florida politician; she was also public information director for a public-health agency and a writer- editor at numerous newspapers and magazines.
